- Use a

network connection.
- Use anti-virus
software and keep it up-to-date.
- Keep operating
system files and application files patched and up-to-date.
- Use NTFS
rather than FAT32 on all hard drives.
- Disable
unnecessary services such as: NetMeeting, Remote Desktop Sharing,
Remote Desktop Help Session Manager, Remote Registry, Routing
and Remote Access, SSDP Discovery Service, telnet, and Universal
Plug and Play Device Host. Go to: Start | Settings |Control
